Since the age of 15, Mozza Pizzeria founder- Anthony Palermo has had a love for all things Italian. Traditional Italian food and cooking (in particular pizza) has driven him from the very start. In the beginning, Anthony started at the bottom - working his way up the ranks in a local pizza shop after school. Anthony’s desire to serve incredible authentic food was clear from the very beginning.
The Birth of Mozza Pizzeria
In 2014, Anthony opened up his first pizzeria in Seddon. Following it’s huge success, in 2017 Mozza Pizzeria was born- opening its doors in July at Doncaster Westfield in Melbourne.
Anthony and his team want to bring you the experience of dining as you would at ‘Nonnas house’ with family recipes going back generations, a woodfire oven from Naples burning at 450 degrees, a passion for authentic Italian cooking and the hospitality that Italians are known for.
The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN)
Mozza Pizzeria adheres to the guidelines of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (the world authority on traditional Neapolitan pizza). Anthony is honored to be inducted into the Association in 2014 and continues to be a big part of the Associations Australasia division.
